Even a good remedy can spoil if stored wrongly — learn a few simple rules and remedies stay safe at home.
Keep homeopathic remedies in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. The area near the kitchen stove or the damp environment of a bathroom is not a good place to keep remedies.
Keep remedies away from strongly scented items — camphor, naphthalene, perfume, betel spices; there is a long-standing caution that the strong smell of these can destroy the effectiveness of the remedy. Always keep the bottle cap tightly closed.
Do not touch liquid remedies or globules directly with bare hands — use the bottle cap or a clean spoon, so that contamination is avoided. Write the name and potency of the remedy clearly on each bottle, and keep all remedies out of children's reach.
Do not use remedies that have expired, or whose colour or smell has changed. When a remedy runs out or you have doubts about any remedy, take the doctor's advice — it is safer not to choose a substitute remedy yourself.
